I thought the same thing too! I was like, "wow, probably one of my favorite cases" and then the episode continued and my heart was hurt. She had such amazing friends.

that was the season25 finale. an uncommon Conan and Kogoro do it buddy cop style case. Kogoro barely abused Conan at all in this one. just a few grumpy remarks here and there. but Kogoro actually stopped, listened, and gave Conan's ideas some thought and agreed! :o is he FINALLY growing up into a real man and investigator instead of a child-abusing, boozy, skirt-chasing, pompous, and self-aggrandizing moron?

i doubt it. i bet this one is just a one-off anime original episode that won't tie-in with anything ever again.

I mean we have had conan and kogoro cases before though

Season 25 was quite meh I mean seriously even though it was like the 20th anniversary of the franchise at the time
